What do you have to do to appear on this blog?
Mail to "postrockcommunity[at]hotmail[dot]de" with the subject "POST (bandname - release - year)"
You must include the following information in your email:
RELEASE INFO
1) Bandname
2) Album Name
3) Label Name
4) License (Creative Commons, etc)
5) Purchase Info / Buy Links
6) Which song should be used as a Preview
BAND INFO
7) Presstext (Who are you? Motivation? Influences? ...) and/ or a bio
8) Genre
9) Links - Myspace, Bandcamp, etc (must include at least one streaming option)
9) Download Link
The best way to provide download links is a bandcamp.com-account with a free download setting of your release. Just send us your link of the account and you can skip the break about the zipping-rules below.
Otherwise you have to zip your release using WinRAR or WinZIP and upload it to a file-host. Good file-hosts are multiupload, mediafire, megaupload or rapidshare. The Zip-file should include mp3's of your release ripped in high quality (320 kbit/s recommended, at least 192 kbit/s, no transcodes!) + Albumartwork (at least a CD-front-picture of 500x500). Additionally you can add a txt- file with credits or a message to downloaders
